On television shows, when someone is dying, they always make the portrayal very comforting for the ones left behind. The dying person is always graceful and accepting, and it's the family who mourns and cannot be consoled.
In real life, this is often not how it works. The sadness of someone you love who so desperately doesn't want to go is too unbearable to think about for long.
